From Simla it was announced on 1 Sept that the movement against partition of Bengal would be started on 16th oct.
We have to recognise and honour of the unity in different manners born by a foreign stroke. Saying this Rabindranath presented the ideals of "Swadeshi Samaj" in details,
"The working energy of our land is to be bound by a committee. At least one Hindu and one Muslim are to made leaders of the committee. We are to bow down our head and follow the orders of the committee. We shall give levies to the committee. We shall obey their rule.../."there is no madness to take responsibility of the country by its people."
In the mean time the patriotic song , "Amar sonar Bangla ami tomay bhalobasi", created by Rabindranath excited the people of Calcutta to a great height. Satyen Roy wrote that the song "amar sonar Bangla" was sung in a baul tune in the meeting at town hall on 7th Aug to protest against the ".partition of Bengal" . This song was first published in "sanjibani" paper on 7th Sept 1905 .The tune of the song "amar sonar Bangla" was taken from the song , "ami kothay paba tare , amar maner manus je re" sung by post man Gagan Harkara of Silaidah.
