Timeline of Rabitalent (contd-1)

Sarada Debi, Mother of Rabindranth, died on 10th March 1875. In his child hood Rabindranath  was brought up by servants. After returning from Himalayas  in June 1873 Rabindranath got a place in inside the female quarters and was acquainted with Kadambari, wife of Jyotirindranath, Rabindranath said " I got much love and affection from the youngest daughter in law of Thakurbari". That feeling he mentioned in few lines aftet some time;
   At this stage the talent of Rabindranath developed in such a way that it became very difficult for one , known to Tagore family, to ignore the Kabyas written by Rabindranath,
Sajanikanta Das, a researcher on Rabindranth, wrote that  the list of great poets selected by Rajnarayan Bose could not attract Rabindranath. when he was asked about the list ,
 The role of Akshay Chandra Choudhury proved unparalleled in inspiring the feelings of literature of young talents like Rabindranath. This was necessary to frame out the mental make up of Rabindtanath . Rabindranath said that they read and discussed the poems of different English poets. In this way, Akshay Chandra Choudhury explained many poetries of English poets in loud voice and praised writings of Rabindranath. This state of discussion helped in creation of translation of Irish melodies and Child Harolds of Byron written by Thomas Moore to be published in Malati Punthi.
At this stage Rabindranath was busy in translating English poems to Bengali.
Rabindranath read self written poem "Prakritir Khed in the assembly of learned person. The poem published in Pratibimba was a little bit different."Hok Bharater Jay" or Hindumelar Upahar were written on the occasion of Hindu Mela . Similarly, Prakritir Khed was written on the occasion of  Assembly of learned persons.Hindumelar Upahar and Prakritir Khed were written in the line of the patriotic poems written by Hemchandra Bandyopadhyay.
At the request of Basanta Kumar Chattopadhyay, Jyotirindranath said in his memoirs that on hearing about the Drama Sarojini", Rabindranath wrote instanteneous the song Jwal Jwal Chita Dwigun dwigun.

Ramsarbaswa Bidyabhusan edited Pratibimba magazine did not live long. It is only 7/8 months after from 1282 it amalgamated with Srikrishna Das edited jnanankur and renamed as Jnankur O Pratibimba . In the fourth year [ Agrahayan 1282 to Kartik 1283] a bunch of poems titled Pralap , , Banaful Kabyaupanyas, and first citical essays in prose Bhuban mohini Pratva , Abasar Sarojini O Dukyasangini was published.
Some symptoms of these poems are visible i.e., Rhythms of Naribandana, Chiraparadhini of  Biharilal Chakrabarty's written Bangasundari [1276] had been followed .
It is that the Banaful was written in 1282 has two proves,
1. It reminds the scenery of the good bye to Husband's quarter of Shakuntala,
2. the third stranza was written in the Rhythms of Pralap.
The beauty of lyrics of Saradamangal is not imitable. Rabindranath tried to do the same.

It was already mentioned that Banaful and Pralap was published in Jnanankur O Pratibimba. The three stanzas of Banaful and two stanzas of Pralap was published in Chaitra 1282.

In Falgoon ,Chaitra , 1282, Baishakh, asharh , 1283 of the magazine Jnanankur O Pratimimba an article [ Pralap O Sagar] was published without mentioning the name of the writer.Dr. sukumar Sen in annual publication of Anandabazar, 1388, claimed it as first prose writings of Rabindranath and published it in his book "Rabindrer Indradhanu". Gopal Chandra Roy protested against the opinion of Dr. Sen.

Time line of Rabitalent

Rabindranath created three manuscripts in his early days since he was eight. 1. Blue Diary, 2. Letts' Diary, 3. Malati Punthi.
At the age of 8
1. Blue Diary ; The diary was prepared by blue full size papers obtained from the staff of the zamindary estate. He had drawn lines on the papers and written poems. But this diary was not found. still some poems are available from different sources.

Rabindranath wanted to write a letter to his father and he went Mahananda Musi [Mukhopadhyay] of the estate. The poem below is referred to this Mahananda,

In the mean time Rabindranath became famous as a poet outside the jurisdiction of his family members.Satkari Datta, Biology teacher of Normal School, was inspiring him to write poems and gave him task of filling some lines in poetry

Rabindranath with his father left kolkata in the noon on 14th feb 1873 by train . This was the first time he was travelling by train. At first they came to Santiniketan.His power for writing poems was increasing at this atmosphere. 4th Falgoon 1279 is a remarkable day in the life of Rabindranath for this was the first step to Santiniketan where he passed last 40 years of his life. In Santiniketan he was let free in the natural environment of Santiniketan. Here he wrote a Kaby Upanyas , Prithirajer Parajay , full of heroic passion.Of course he could not remember a single line. It took 7 days to complete. Pravat Kumar Mukhopadhyay thought that the drama Rudrachanda written by Rabindranath was a reflection of  this.
Letts' Diary ;
It may be that he used this Letts' Diary for his creation before Malati Punthi came into being. He wrote Avilash, Hindumelar Upahar and also some essays in this manuscript.
At the age of 11-12
On the way to Himalayas they stopped for a few days in Santiniketan.

In Santiniketan he felt himself to be free in the open natural environment. In this situation the power of writing poetry of Rabindranath was developing.He had  already said good bye to the blue diary and collected Letts'Diary. [ Lett's Diary was well circulated at that time in different sizes. In the paper the Friend of IndiaThacker Spink & Co., G.C.Hay & Co. , R/C.Lepage & co. etc  put  their advertisement in this respect.]
He wrote here a kabya upanyas titled Prthirajer Paraajay. In a letter written to Indira Debi , he wrote that it took seven days to cmplete the book. Pravat Kumar Mukhopadhyay thought that the idea was reflected in the drama Rudrachanda. Rabindranath was 13year 7months.

During his journey to Himalayas Debendranath tried to train Rabindranath about Astrology  which was his dearest subject. Rabindranath wrote his first serial essays on Astrology and he wrote that this was my first serial essays on scientific subjects.This was published in Tattwabodhini during their stay in Bakrota.
During his (Rabindranath's) journey to Himalayas and immediate after that Letts' Diary was his manuscript for creating his Kabyas. It is believed that before the creation of the famous Malati Punthi he used this Letts' Diary was his manuscript. He created Avilash, Hindumelar Upahar etc.
