Rabindranath was acquainted with Indian Music society. On 5 th Baishakh [17th April] at about 8 pm a ceremony was held organised by the Society on Rabindranath. A news flash was posted in Amrita Bazar Patrika about the occasion on 20th April.
"Babu Ardhendu Sekhar Mustafi and Babu Akshoy Kumar Mozumdar delighted the audience at the Samaj Hallby their successful recitations of the two comic pieces namely "Natun Avatar" and "Bina Payshay Bhoj" from works of the well known poet Babu Rabindranath Tagore. the performance elicited roars of laughter.
Akshoy Kumar Mazumdar already recited Bini Paysar Bhoj in the meeting of Khamkheyali Sabha". Probably Rabindranath was present at the meeting.
Rabindranath took the charge of editor of Bharati from Baishakh issue of 1305. Bharati was published by Jyotirindranath under the editorship of Dwijendranath in Shraban, 1284. Virtually Rabindranath was the after he returned from England.
But after the death of Kadambari Debi publication of Bharati was declared to be stopped.Swarnakumari Devi took the charge of publishing Bharati. she herself became the editor. She did her job upto Chaitra 1301.

Congress launched a movement against the Municipal Bill imposed by the Govt. The British Indian Association, organisation of Zamindars, took the side of the bill.One of their representative wrote an essay in pioneer, a mouth piece of Anglo Indian Association titled Ultra-. conservative . Rabindranath wrote a satire essay in the context of the above essay.
Rabindranath wrote in Prasanga Katha, " The English men living in India are mostly Business minded excepting the Govt. employees. It is natural that they became afraid of any opposition."
The Agrahayan issue of Bhaerati was published at the end of the month. Rabindranath wrote,

Rabindranath said about the the story of Manihara to Prof. Bipin Behari Gupta, "The queen of Coochbehar liked to listen Story of Ghost.She asked me to tell a ghost story, supposing that I have seen ghost.She did not rely on his repeated reply in the negative.At last he said a story."
Rabindranath wrote some songs to be sung in the 51th sedssion of Brahmmo Samaj..

Following the book of "Family Memoirs" Rabindranath edited the Note . But since there were three names in the original discussion,Rabindranath did not like to put his name.

Gramya sahitya is a large essay. Before publishing Meyeli Chara in Ashwin 1301, he was collecting renowned rhymes from different parts of Bengal with utmost effort.this essay is a detailed study of that. this essay bears the testimony of his effort even after this.

On 18th Jan 1899 a Brahmmo Conference was held Some important members of Nababidhan and Sadharan Brahmmo samaj came at Jorasanko to receive blessings from the head , Maharsi
Sibdhan Bidyarnab wrote describing the incident,
"Rabindranath was given the charge of music. The first song was sung by Rabindranath with his charming and sweet voice. " Base achi he, kabe suniba tomar bani"
An important incident took place on this date.Rabindranath and Swami Vivekananda met each other in a tea party arranged by Sister Nivedita.It is believed that Rabindranath met Narendranath Datta, before his taking Sannyas, in a music conference arranged on the occasion of Maghotsab or in other music conference. But no authentic report was received so far.But this present incident was recorded in a letter written to Sister Nivedita by Miss Josphine MacLeod on 30th Jan 1899.Swamiji welcomes this acquaintance of Nivedita with Brahmmo Samaj.
Sarala Debi took charge of editing Bharati after Rabindranath who helped her by supplying many articles.
